Caro Buermann is a Los Angeles based art curator and writer, specializing in Japanese contemporary art. As a curator of Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles, Caro helps define the gallery’s growing program of artists and has curated numerous notable exhibitions. She is currently organizing a major mid-career survey of Hikari Shimoda for the Asahi Museum of Art in Japan, scheduled to open in 2018. Her writing is regularly published in contemporary art magazine, Hi-Fructose.

Previously, Caro was an artist's agent and creative strategist for girls brands. In 2011, she founded Sweet Streets in response to an increasing need for innovational and effective services for her roster. Caro’s client list featured top creative companies known for their art and culture initiatives, including Pokémon Company International, Bandai America and Japan, Hasbro America, Europe and Asia, Saban Brands, Mighty Fine Clothing, Sanrio, and more.
